About CSI
CSI is families, schools, and community working together to support children as they grow. Meeting their physical, social, and emotional needs now will result in healthy adults and a safe community for everyone.
Young people’s well-being can be affected by many factors—including early childhood experiences, community and family life, school environment, social and emotional concerns, and substance abuse issues—and no single action can be counted on to ensure our children’s healthy development.
- The CSI Project takes a broad approach, drawing on the best practices in education, justice, social services, and mental health in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, public and private service organizations, and other community-based organizations.
- In 2008, the Fond du Lac School District, in partnership with community organizations and the North Fond du Lac School District, received funding through the Safe Schools Healthy Students federal initiative to coordinate this effort.
- This collaborative approach improves our ability, as a community, to meet the needs of our children and their families.
