Melissa Hayes, PBIS External Coach

Melissa Hayes comes to the CSI Project with an education background. She has a Bachelors Degree in Special Education from UW-Eau Claire and a Masters Degree in Special Education from UW-Oshkosh. She taught cognitively disabled students for 18 years - 13 of which were in Goodrich High School programs. Some community employers may remember her from the EBCE (Experience Based Career Education) Program, which provided valuable work experience for her students in the 1970's and 1980's. After pursuing a Masters Degree in School Counseling from UW-Oshkosh, Melissa has worked as a counselor at Chegwin Elementary School for the past 17 years until her retirement from the school district in June, 2007. She feels fortunate to have the opportunity to continue her work with the Fond du Lac community to support children's healthy mental development.
