Prevent Suicide Fond du Lac County Committee

The mission of the Prevent Suicide Fond du Lac County (PSFDL) Committee is to reduce the number of suicide attempts and deaths that take place in our county each year.

Prevent Suicide Fond du Lac County is the entity that will carry forward many of the activities started under the Destination Zero initiative. PSFDL committee members come from a variety of sectors and organizations across Fond du Lac County. By working together they seek to reduce the number of people who attempt and die by suicide by:

  • Sharing information about the work being done within their organizations to prevent suicides and support those in crisis, learning from each other’s successes, and brainstorming ways to overcome challenges.
  • Promoting and facilitating suicide prevention trainings (including QPR) throughout the county to increase the number of community members who can recognize the signs of mental distress and know how to respond effectively.
  • Improving the quality of supports available to those who are impacted by suicide attempts and deaths (including the Survivors of Suicide Loss support group).
