October’s Hot Topic: Grief Matters

October’s HOT TOPIC will take place virtually via Zoom on Thursday, October 15 from 2:00-3:30 pm

“Grief Matters” will be presented by Sharon Stoffel, MS, LCSW, LPC, Bereavement Specialist at Agnesian HealthCare, a member of SSM Health. Participants will:

Be able to summarize children’s grieving. Understand how to help them through that process.

Describe the impact of COVID-19 on the grieving process.

Describe secondary loss and ambiguous loss.

Compare and contrast the grieving process when a loved one dies and when experiencing other losses such as divorce.
