History

  • Screening started in 2002 as TeenScreen
  • Fond du Lac High School was the 1st screening site in Wisconsin
  • Screening site expansion had continued over the years; screening is currently offered at 12 public, private and charter schools as well as through primary care settings and juvenile intake in Fond du Lac County

  • Program name was trademarked and changed to Fond du Lac Area YScreen in 2013
  • Currently use the Pediatric Symptom Checklist – Youth reporting tool

Impact (over the past 16 years)

  • Approximately 13,000 students have been screened
  • Almost 2,400 students have received a referral for further evaluation
  • Close to 1,300 have been connected with services
