QPR at the YMCA

The Destination Zero suicide prevention initiative is thrilled to announce a partnership with the Fond du Lac Family YMCA to host monthly QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention trainings which are open to the public and FREE to all. To register, go to: fdlymca.org/browse_programs.html  and search “QPR”. 

The trainings are scheduled for the following dates and times:

  • April 9th from 5:30-7:00pm
  • May 14th from 5:30-7:00pm
  • June 11th from 5:30-7:00pm
  • July 9th from 5:30-7:00pm
  • August 13th from 5:30-7:00pm

QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) is a practical and proven suicide prevention training. In just 90 minutes this training aims to empower attendees, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference in the life of someone they know by teaching them the common causes of suicidal behavior, warning signs, and three simple steps that can be used to help someone in crisis.
