Join us for Green Dot Bystander Intervention Training, a nationally recognized curriculum for assisting communities on how to better respond to and reduce power-based violence.

Through tools that assist all comfort levels and personality types, participants will learn how to do something when faced with situations where domestic violence, child abuse or sexual assault may be occurring in front of them.

Speaker Bio:

Maria Turner is the Executive Director for the Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund, a position she took in March 2019 as the next step in her 13 years of previous nonprofit experiences in domestic violence, child abuse prevention and job training/placement for at-risk populations. Maria holds a bachelor’s degree from Carroll University in Communications and English and a certificate in Entrepreneurship from Fox Valley Technical College. She received her Green Dot trainer certification in Missouri in December 2019 and has presented workshops at two
national conferences in .

Beyond work, Maria is the mother of Vanessa, 21 and Lexi, 17, dog mom to Gracie, 6, and has volunteered on numerous boards and organizations in the community to support her personal passions of education, youth enrichment, leadership development and violence
prevention. She enjoys hiking, all things on/in/near water, attending concerts, spending time with family, baking and a good number of adrenaline junkie pursuits!
