Start the Conversation 5K
Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County, Fond du Lac Area YScreen, and the Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling are partnering for the 5th Annual “Start the Conversation” 5K Run/Walk which will be held on April 23rd, 2022 at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac or on April 16-22nd if you prefer participating virtually.
The primary goal for the 5th annual 5K Run/Walk is to continue the conversation about mental health, addiction and suicide prevention. This time of year was chosen because March is Problem Gambling Awareness month, April is Addiction Awareness month, and May is Mental Health Awareness month. We hope to have folks return from past years as well as encourage first-time participants to experience the accomplishment of completing the 5K. The opportunity to have our furry dog friends also participate only enhances the event.
