Finding Virtual Support in Uncertain Times

In addition to limiting face-to-face contact with family, friends, and other support persons, the current COVID-19 epidemic and containment measures have led to the cancellation of in-person support groups. During this time of uncertainty, maintaining a level of social connectedness is critically important. Thankfully, there are many online peer support communities to turn to, including the following:

Free online text chat with a trained listener for emotional support and counseling. Also offers fee-for-service online therapy with a licensed mental health professional. Service/website also offered in Spanish.

Offers a free peer-to-peer online support community for those struggling with a wide range of mental health issues – large and small. Chat in real time with others from around the world
