Other 24/7 Support Lines (National)

Boys Town National Hotline (Serves ALL Teens) — Call 800-448-3000 or text VOICE to 20121. Provides 24/7 support by specially trained counselors for a range of issues including abuse, anger, depression, school issues, bullying, etc.

National Runaway Safeline — Call 1-800-RUNAWAY. The mission of the National Runaway Switchboard (NRS) is to help keep America’s runaway, homeless and at-risk youth safe and off the streets.

Love is Respect – Call 1-866-331-9474 or text LOVEIS to 22522. Offers free and confidential 24/7 information, support and advocacy to young people between the ages of 13 and 26 who have questions or concerns about their romantic relationships. Also provides support for concerned friends, family members, and others.

National Eating Disorders Association Helpline — Call or text 800-931-2237. Provides support, resources, and treatment options for yourself or a loved one who is struggling with an eating disorder.

The Trevor Project — Call 866-488-7386 or text START to 678678 Provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth.

LGBT National Help Center (800-246-7743) — Free and confidential support for the LGBTQ and questioning community ages 25 and younger.

It Gets Better – The It Gets Better Project’s mission is to uplift, empower and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer youth around the globe. Growing up isn’t easy, especially when you are trying to affirm and assert your sexual orientation and/or gender identity. It can be a challenging and isolating process, but the good news is no one has to do it alone.  

Trans Lifeline – Trans Lifeline is a grassroots hotline and microgrants non-profit organization offering direct emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis – for the trans community, by the trans community. Its mission is to connect trans people to the community support and resources needed to survive and thrive.
